Aldersgate is better because of those who serve sacrificially on leadership teams. We are always ready to help train and raise people up who want to get involved in leadership roles. Below are our current teams, their leaders, and how you can get involved.
Church Council
The Church Council is the executive agency of the church. All teams are ultimately amenable to the Council. It provides for the administration of the churches organization and mission. The Church Council envisions, plans, implements, and annually evaluates the mission and ministry of the church.

How To Get Involved: Members of the Church Council are nominated by the Lay Leadership Team and elected at the annual Charge Conference.
Lay Leadership Team
This team identifies, develops, deploys and evaluates the spiritual leadership of the Aldersgate. The team recommends to the annual charge conference the names of people to serve as officers and leaders in the church.

How To Get Involved: Members of the Lay Leadership are are elected by the annual charge conference.
Board of Trustees
The duties and responsibilities of the Trustees include the care, supervision, oversight, and maintenance of all real and personal property of the local church.

How To Get Involved: Members are nominated by the Lay Leadership Team and elected at the annual Charge Conference.
Finance
The finance team is responsible for developing the annual budget, managing the finances of the church in accordance with the directions of the Church Council, developing and implementing plans that will raise sufficient income to meet the budget adopted by the church council.

Staff-Parish Relations
Assist the pastor(s) and staff in assessing their gifts and setting their priorities for leadership and service. This team serves as the lay personnel committee of the church. The SPRC communicates and interprets the role of the professional staff to the church family and helps the pastor and staff to understand the needs of the members of the church. The role of the SPRC is to encourage, strengthen, nurture, support, and respect the pastor and staff and their families, promote unity in the church, and confer with and counsel with the pastor and staff on the matters pertaining to the effectiveness of ministry. The SPRC recommends to the church council the needs and opportunities for professional leadership and the appropriate compensation for the professional staff.

How To Get Involved: Members are nominated by the Lay Leadership Committee and elected by the annual charge conference.
Lay Leader
The Lay Leader is the primary representative of the members of Aldersgate whose primary responsibilities include:
- Fostering awareness of the role of laity both within the congregation and through their ministries in the home, workplace, community, and world.
- Meeting regularly with the pastor to assess the state of the church and the needs for ministry.
- The lay leader is a member of the Finance, Lay leadership, Staff-Parish Relation teams.

How To Get Involved: Leader is nominated by the Lay Leadership Team and elected at the Annual Charge Conference.
Lay Member to Texas Annual Conference
Attends the
annual conference and represents the concerns of the local church. Also acts as the interpreter of the annual conference to the local church.
