Prayer

Aldersgate’s Prayer Ministry is the cornerstone for all other ministries and programs in our church. We believe that prayer does not equip us for greater works – but rather, prayer is the greater work. God established the church as His house of prayer.

Need Prayer?

How may we pray for you? The members of our Prayer Ministry are dedicated to intercessory prayer. Our prayer partners have been specially selected because of their devotion to praying and serving in ways related to the Word. Whatever cares or needs you have, our prayer partners are ready to prayer with you. If you want someone to pray with you before church begins, you can find prayer partners at the Prayer Corner located in the foyer. Or, if you prefer, you may submit a prayer request via the Connect Card during a worship service or via email to office@aldersgatecs.com.

We will pray with you for the Lord to give you peace and an answer to your prayer. Prayer teams pray daily and confidentially.

What Is Intercessory Prayer?

Intercessory prayer is prayer for others. It’s one of the most important things we can do for someone else. An intercessor takes the place of another or pleads another’s case. Intercessory prayer is “Holy, believing, persevering prayer whereby someone pleads with God on behalf of another or others who desperately need God’s intervention.”

What To Join The Prayer Ministry?

One of the best resources for connecting people to others who have the same passion for prayer is through the prayer ministry.  Are you passionate about praying for others? Do you find yourself praying for people all the time? If you answered, “yes” to these questions, then maybe you should consider joining the Aldersgate’s Intercessory Prayer Team. Email office@aldersgatecs.com, attention Judy Parks, for more information.
